How do I transfer my UK Pension to Ireland?
- Firstly, set up a QROPS registered pension in Ireland in your name to receive your UK pension
- Submit the necessary paperwork to your UK pension provider to enable them to transfer your UK pension to your new Irish QROPS pension
- Answer any queries from your UK pension provider as they are likely to request further information from you prior to transferring your pension
- You may need to organise an independent valuation of your UK pension if it is a Defined Benefit pension
We have organised the transfer of numerous UK pensions to Ireland on behalf of our clients in recent years and we have developed a lot of expertise to allow the process to flow as simply as possible.
There are a lot of procedures to be followed and plenty of paperwork and the pension companies usually need to be followed up numerous times to make sure that the job gets done properly and efficiently.
